Brunell is Back!

NY Jets 38 Buffalo Bills 7

With Mark Sanchez only playing one set, the Jets rolled over the Bills on Sunday in a meaningless game. Coach “Feets” Ryan decided to rest a bunch of players, but the J-E-T-S bench stepped up big time and  buried Buffalo early in this game.

A good move by Rex Ryan to rest his players before next weeks Wildcard Weekend, and with the huge win against the Bills, the Jets should have all the momentum they need heading into the playoffs. I have a least one more week to write about them. Yipeeeee!

NY Giants 17 Washington Redskins 14

A bittersweet win for the Giants as with two minutes left in the game they found out the Packers won and their playoff hopes were out the window. Good news though is that the Giants won their week 17 game, barely, but they won and Coach Coughlin’s job is safe for 2011.

I won’t write too much into the G-Men’s disappointing season (separate post to come) but I will say they ended week 17 with a win and the season with 10 wins. It was sad to see them win and not get into the playoffs, but in the past few games, with control of their own destiny, they failed miserably. At least Coughlin is not getting fired and the Giants will have a long off season to reflect on the mistakes of a disappointing 2010 year.
