Some Farmers’ Markets in NJ Are Open Earlier Than You’d Expect

Veggies Time!

We are not nicknamed the Garden State for nothing!  May sees a lot of farmers’ markets opening throughout the state and we couldn’t be more thrilled.  There is nothing like the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables available in New Jersey.  Tomatoes, corn, eggplant, carrots, strawberries, and peaches.  And that is just a start.  Sure it may be a little more expensive than the local supermarket but the food is fresher and you are helping our state’s  independent farmers.   Many farmers’ markets also have desserts, fresh meats, cheeses, flowers, and more.  So do yourself a favor, your mother was right!  Eat your fruits and veggies!!

Please see below for a list of markets that are either already open or opening in May.
