Is Governor Christie Now Mitt Romney’s ‘Jersey-style’ Bulldog?

When hecklers were getting so loud that Mitt Romney couldn’t address a crowd at a high school gym in Exeter, New Hampshire last night, he tried to get his supporters to drown them out with pro-Romney chants.  His next tactic was to ask them to be more polite.  Well, none of those attempts worked so he brought in his big dog.  Namely, NJ’s own Governor Christie.

Christie got up there in what Yahoo! News is calling his “Jersey-style” response.  He basically beat them at their own game.  He turned their complaints about jobs into criticism of President Obama and the crowd loved it. In fact, the Philadephia Inquirer noted that one of the hecklers was from New Jersey and Christie even swayed her.

Philly.com notes in their article about the evening with Christie and Romney in Exeter that a lot of people came out just to see what all the fuss was about this “guy from New Jersey.”  So, if the crowds love him so much, why isn’t Christie himself running for President?  He seems to have chosen Romney as his horse in the race.  Well, whatever his intentions, let’s hope he’s not too busy on the campaign trail this year to focus on his work right here at home.
