Cullen Jones is from Irvington and he’ll be representing the US in the 50m and 100m freestyle swimming events.  He’s been labeled the Fastest Swimmer in the US by winning the 50m at the Olympic Trials.  Awesome!

He learned to swim after he nearly drowned at a Pennsylvania water park when he was five years old.  His mother signed him up for swimming lessons soon after the incident and the rest is Olympic history.

He has a slightly out of date website but it has cool photos and info so check it out before cheering him on in London.

We can watch Cullen swim starting on July 31st and medal swims will be August 1st for the 100m and August 3rd for the 50m.
