This is the third year we’ve been a part of the Westfield CSA (community supported agriculture) group. Since our farmer also delivers to a few local farmers markets, we think his shares are pretty representative of what other organic farmers will be bringing to their markets this week.
This week we got white and red potatoes, cabbage, red and green lettuce, arugula, salad turnips, bok choy, red onions and thyme.
We missed a week of veggies because Farmer John and most of the CSA members had no electricity or phones. We’ve only got a few weeks left, though, so we’re looking forward to a little bit extra veggies for the next deliveries.
What are we going to do all winter without our delicious local produce??
