This Week in Veggies – What’s Fresh at Your Local Farmers Market

by Alice Magdziak • November 25, 2012 • Garden StateComments (0)1277

This is the third year we’ve been a part of the Westfield CSA (community supported agriculture) group and this is our last official week of veggies. Next week we’ll get an extra “stock-up” delivery which we have to pay extra for.  Since our farmer also delivers to a few local farmers markets, we think his shares are pretty representative of what other organic farmers will be bringing to their markets this week.

This week we got bok choy, cabbage, purple kale, parsnips, carrots, acorn squash, celery root and potatoes.

Thanks for reading my veggie posts every week.  I love these local organic deliveries so much that I’m thrilled to write about them every week.  Tune in next year!
