Here’s a rare occurrence for New Jersey. Due to a solar flare on Thursday, the Northern Lights may be visible in New Jersey on Saturday night. Their estimated time of arrival is 8 p.m. tonight plus or minus 7 hours.

Unlike northern points like Alaska, we usually only get a handful of times per year to see the lights, many of which are blocked by cloud cover. Hopefully tonight the conditions will be right for good viewing!
