What can I say about the Jets? They should have won this game! This was an embarrassing loss but like I said a couple days ago, I saw it coming. I guess the Jets were just looking at the 0-4 record and conveniently forgetting about quarterback ‘Big Ben’ Roethlisberger, Super Bowl winning coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers’ pride. Did they think teams like to stay winless? When people start patting the Jets on the back they tend to collapse and bring their fans back down to earth. They gave us a glimmer of hope and then a giant wave just crashed down on them and wiped them out as the Steelers won 19-6. You can change a lot of pieces on a team but the Jets are still the same old Jets. The Patriots on the other hand won yesterday bringing their record to 5-1. Had the Jets won, they would have been in a fairly good position to either take 1st or tie by beating the Patriots next week. Now the 3-3 Jets can only hope to close the gap.

Filling in for the injured Michael Vick, Nick Foles started out a little shaky but looked pretty good as he threw for over 200 yards and 3 TDs. The Eagles rallied late and beat Tampa Bay. It was dicey for awhile as Tampa Bay gave Philadelphia a couple scares but the Eagles slowly pulled away to win 31-20. It wasn’t a pretty win but this isn’t college football where you are trying to impress with how many points you beat the other team by. A win is a win in the NFL. The Eagles are now 3-3 and tied for first place in their division with the Cowboys. That will change next week however as they play the Cowboys and then only one team will be the owner of the first spot unless there is that rare occurrence of a tie.

The Giants lost on Thursday and are still winless.
