NFL Week 10 – Jets Giants Eagles – Results

The New York Giants defeated the Oakland Raiders 24-20 but it wasn’t very pretty! Their winning streak improved to 3 as they brought their record up to 3-6. Eli Manning and the struggling Giants offense played in their usual lousy manner and looked as though they were ready to hand the game away to the Raiders. Only the Giants’ solid defense helped them win. I don’t know what it is but Eli Manning has been a shell of his former self this season. Maybe he is secretly battling some kind of injury or he is just having a bad year. It will be dicey over the next few weeks as the Giants try to make a playoff spot despite their slim chances.

Nick Foles didn’t match his previous week’s performance but he kept the ship going in the right direction as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers 27-13. The Packers were at a disadvantage missing their MVP candidate quarterback Aaron Rogers. This brings the Eagles into a tie with the Cowboys for the top of the division with a record of 5-5 but the Cowboys hold a tiebreaker over the Eagles so technically they are ahead. The Eagles need to start winning as they come back home if they want to win the division.

The Jets were off this week and will be playing the Buffalo Bills next Sunday.
