The Oakland Raiders didn’t do the Eagles any favors by losing to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. This puts the Philadelphia Eagles in a difficult position as they take on the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday at home at 1:00 p.m. EST. For the Eagles, this is one of their bigger tests. Arizona is coming in on a hot streak having won 4 in a row with some pretty solid defense. Can the Eagles (6-5) put 2 wins together at home and keep their playoff hopes alive? With Dallas (7-5) winning the pressure’s on now with the real chance that only one team will make it to the playoffs from the NFC East.
The New York Giants (4-7) play on Sunday night and frankly I’m surprised this game was kept on Sunday night football. Usually if the league doesn’t like a game at this point in the season, they can flip flop the game out of there and pick a game from the daytime to put in it’s place. While they might not be mathematically eliminated, both the Giants and Redskins are basically just playing out the string at this point. The Giants would pretty much need to win out and have another team collapse for them to even have a chance.
The New York Jets (5-6) are hosting the Miami Dolphins (5-6) at Metlife Stadium. The Jets were in the driver’s seat but now they need to turn things around just to have a shot. Unfortunately for the Jets, they don’t have the tie breaker against most of the teams they are up against for a playoff spot.
