Preservation New Jersey recently alerted their Facebook fans about the former Giordano Diner located at 2944 Brunswick Pike (aka Route 1) in Lawrence Township. The diner is National Register eligible and has been also known as Mrs. G’s Plumbing Outlet.  It’s available free to whoever will dismantle it and remove it from the site.

Check this article out for a picture of the interior and multiple other exterior shots.

This building is a relatively rare surviving example of a diner manufactured by the Mountain View Company of Singac (Little Falls) New Jersey which fabricated diners from 1939 to 1957.

The site has been approved for redevelopment. Here’s an article regarding the redevelopment proposal.

The developer’s name is Bill Hotz and he welcomes inquiries: 908-781-9322 hotzdevgrp@aol.com.
