While the Jets and Giants just play out the string, the Philadelphia Eagles actually have something to play for. Unfortunately, their opponent does too! As the Eagles play for the NFC East division title, the Chicago Bears are playing for the NFC North division title. They both have 8-6 records and strikingly similar team stats. If Dallas loses and the Eagles win, then the Eagles win their division and get their playoff spot automatically. Any other result would mean that next week’s Eagles vs. Dallas game will decide it all. The Eagles play the Bears Sunday night at home at 8:30 p.m.
The New York Jets (6-8) play the Cleveland Browns Sunday at 1:00 at Metlife Stadium and the New York Giants are away playing the Detroit Lions on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. In both cases, they are playing for their jobs, their pride or in the role of spoiler. Both teams are already looking to next season at this point but no changes are likely to be made until after the season ends.
