Sunday was a happy day for Giants fans. on Saturday night they got to see their division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles get knocked out of the playoffs. It was a close game but in the end the New Orleans Saints beat the Eagles 26-24. Maybe the Saints had added motivation after people citing their bad record when it came to cold weather all week. Who knows? It wasn’t as cold as expected but it wasn’t balmy either. Nick Foles and the rest of the Eagles just didn’t have it. The Saints’ defense managed to shut down one of the most potent offenses in the NFL. Now we know there will be no local team in the first New Jersey Super Bowl. At least it will mean that no one will really have home field advantage then. As far as changes for the Eagles go there are no obvious ones and only time will tell what adjustments they will make.
