We’ve covered Liv Lombardi and her sultry voice as a solo act a few times and we love seeing her perform every time.  Tonight, though, she stepped up her game with the debut of a full band backing her.  The band gave her emotion-filled songs about love and self discovery a bigger stage to really develop their full potential.

Rhythm section Vin Mott on drums and Sam Bandes on bass filled out the quieter parts of songs like ‘Siga, Siga’ and ‘Hazel & White.’  They brought the tempo up a bit on some tracks, too. ‘Self-Medicate’ was really great with a full band backing Liv.

Sean Ronan’s lead guitar gave songs we already know and love a new life with guitar solo breaks and lent a rock backbone to the whole set.

Liv and band played songs from her existing repertoire and some covers at Silvana on Monday night.  The whole set was energetic and fun.  We can’t wait to see more with the full band!
