Friday and Saturday are jam-packed with fantastic events this week. Jersey City is having lots of events around their JCFriday. That sounds like the place to be! Where are we meeting up with you?
We’ve been hearing from more and more friends and readers that they’d like to know where we’re going each week so they can join us. We get invited to events, hear about fun exhibits and are interested in lots of different places all the time. Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of these. Support local arts or get outside and do something with us.

We just reviewed Tony Appleseed’s new album and it is a MUST-listen!
just over a year after the release of their debut album “Metanoia,” the tony appleseed group will go “Colorblind” in a wash of landscapes to be slowly and methodically torn away in a descent into pure synthesis. syncopated counter-rhythms chop against the current of a sonic mania. filters ringing in your cochlea, only to reveal the grand-wave beneath the matrix, rolling in the rhythmic ebb and flow, crashing against the shore, and retracting only to be born again.
little big toe takes the first step, wielding wood and metal with a plastic plectrum, dancing in odd time around a heartfelt narrative, woven in complex metaphors which cradle your thoughts into a self-reflective symphony of song.
homeless apians upcycle their craft, a solar powered machine headed straight headed for the sun, leaving behind them a world in ironic ruins, mining nonrenewable resources, faces buried in artificial light, as free energy shines bright over their heads, an untapped gold mine. fresh off their release of mr. sun, this power trio returns to shine a new light on the world with their music, before it’s too late… (vote for bernie)
no more pain will slay you with their rock, then lay you to rest on their sweet pillow for some gentle lydian lovemaking, leading way to a soaring reprise of chaotic riffs that will without a doubt fucking melt your brain. your soul will drift above your body, only to look down at your pathetic carcass as you then drift towards the light, you will truly feel no more pain.
