Our friends at Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Co., the Monmouth County-based specialty coffee roaster and bakery, recently announced its annual “Booskerbootie Diaper Drive” through the end of the year. Why would someone want to do this? Other than for a good cause? Any customer who brings in diapers will receive a coupon for a free cup of coffee, good at all Booskerdoo shops through Saturday, December 31st!
To participate in the 2016 Holiday “Booskerbooties Diaper Drive” area residents can bring new, unopened diapers (any brand) in any quantity to any one of Booskerdoo’s six Monmouth County locations: Asbury Park, Bellworks, Fair Haven, Matawan, Monmouth Beach, or Pier Village.
According to James Caverly, Booskerdoo’s founder and co-owner, “giving back to the community is an essential part of our company culture, we continue this annual Diaper Drive (begun in 2013), mainly because clean diapers are vital for the physical and mental well-being of babies and their families. Diapers can be expensive and they’re not eligible for purchase with food stamps or with WIC.”
Co-owner and Head Baker Amelia Caverly added, “This year, we are so proud to be able to partner on our annual diaper drive with 180 Turning Lives Around, Inc. They are a local non-profit committed to helping victims of domestic violence and providing a safe haven for women and children as they leave difficult circumstances, literally turning their lives around.”
Booskerdoo is committed to serving its local communities by providing the finest coffee and baked goods, as well as being a good citizen and compassionate community member.
