We love to shop New Jersey’s great downtowns and Hoboken is one of the best. Unlike in the evening, there are parking spots during the day and everyone’s happy to see you. We had a great time shopping there last week.
Our favorite find of the day was Aether Game Cafe. You can browse their selection of board games and card sets or you can order a specific game through them. If you order something from them, we were told you’d get a 20% discount since they save money by not having to use shelf space for it.
You can also rent game time there and try games out. They also have set nights for different games so you can meet up with other gamers. And, even better news… they just got licensed to serve coffee drinks. Now, we’re definitely going to come back for games and coffees!
If your loved ones aren’t gamers, maybe they’d like some jewelry? We found a simply gorgeous store called Noellery in Hoboken.
The whole store is stocked with the most amazing modern-styled jewelry I feel like I’ve ever seen. To be sure, I pointed out quite a few things that Ed could buy me.
You know we’re suckers for NJ stuff, too. Look at these cute Hoboken plates, mugs and cards.
We just loved everything about this store. I hope Ed got the hint that he should come back without me!
We’ve got a lot of runners in our family so New Jersey Running Company is definitely somewhere we are interested in.
They’ve got a hydration system for everyone in the family.
Gift ideas are even labeled throughout the store. If you’re not a runner but have one to buy for, they will definitely help you out.
Of course, a trip to Hoboken wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Tunes?
Records and box sets galore!
They also have an awesome book case filled with YDKJ-approved books.
There are tons of other shops to pop into and shop, too. Big Fun Toys has a great big wall of games and rows and rows of toys. They have lots of staff to help you pick just the right toy.
Fleet Feet Sports has very fashionable athletic apparel.
Stan’s Sports Center carries lots of local teams’ clothes for the big fans on your list.
Washington General Store has all kinds of gifts for the ladies on your list.
Dear Hannah has even more gift ideas for women.
Dor L Dor had a great sale when we visited. They’re a cool Brooklyn boutique with a Hoboken location.
Wee Babe had lots of cute baby gifts for babies and expectant mothers.
Moe’s is a men’s store that’s also in NYC so you know it’s cool.
Wine is always a great idea for a hostess gift or for someone at work. Sparrow Wine and Liquor Company has a great selection.
I love a hardware for unexpected gift ideas. City Paint & Ace Hardware has lots of stuff for the new home owners and fixer uppers.
Cheap Maggie’s is a great place to get lots of gifts for a little bit of money!
Hudson Paperie can help you get some really great holiday cards.
Who wouldn’t love some baked goods for a gift? Count me in for something from Old German Bakery!
Via Mode not only has a cool sign, they also have a great shoe collection.
Hoboken Pet carries a nice selection of toys, dog sweaters and coats, and pet beds for the fuzzy ones on your gift list.
Symposia Bookstore looks overloaded with books but it’s not as hard to navigate as it appears. Everyone gets a book this year!
