Asbury Park band Dentist recently dropped a new song “The Latter” over at The Deli Magazine and it is everything you could want in a tune especially as we just celebrated the unofficial start of summer on Memorial Day.

Dentist has always excelled at creating addictive indie pop that includes a healthy dose of surf rock—with a backbone. There is no better example of their sound than new tune “The Latter.” The lead guitar of Justin Bornemann is always a driving force, here propelling and lifting the song on a rising and crashing wave of fretwork. Emily Bornemann’s dreamy vocals are enticing yet also have a hint of melancholy that I am a sucker for. The song is the last to feature bassist Nick Kaelblein and drummer Rudy Meier and their energy is felt here.

Dig the new single and check out Dentist on tour including upcoming shows on June 8th at Lantern Hall in Brooklyn and June 19th at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park presented by our bud Cool Dad Music.
