Want to know where we’re going each week so you can join us?  We get invited to events, hear about fun exhibits and are interested in lots of different places all the time.  Here’s what is on our radar this week. We can’t guarantee that we’ll go to all these places but there’s a good chance we’ll be at some of them.  Support local arts or get outside and do something with us!

Woofstock 2017 – 10yr Anniversary Party

Saturday, July 22nd, Hell’s Kitchen Lounge, Newark

Another day of peace, dogs, and music. ALL AGES! PET FRIENDLY! FREE! ($5 donation to drink)  OUTDOOR FESTIVAL, CONCERT, FUNDRAISER, ADOPTION EVENT. WOOFSTOCK was created 7 years ago as a fun and charitable way of celebrating the anniversary of Hell’s Kitchen Lounge.We wanted to create something special that would give back to the community and support something dear to our hearts. This year we welcome QXT’s in sharing our vision for helping animals while rocking hard as they sponsor the Celestial Stage.

Woofstock is an ALL AGES festival to benefit NJ animals in need. Help us celebrate our 10 year anniversary by helping a great cause!  The best part is you can adopt a loving animal or donate to save a life! Local rescue organizations with adoptable dogs and cats from 12-4pm.  Bands, DJ’s, and other live entertainment provide the soundtrack to an awesome and fun filled day!  Hosted by DAVE MENACE, RANDY HAZE, with special participation from QXT.  AFTERPARTY in the lounge 10pm-close 21+only

Our emcees for the evening — Editor-In-Chief Lee Keough and CEO John Mooney — will quiz you on categories like Garden State politics, history, geography, pop culture and more.  Form your team and register today! Teams can have up to six people. The cost to enter is $50 per team, and it goes to support Jersey-centered, independent, nonprofit journalism. 2017 QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning

Friday through Sunday, July 28th-30th, Solberg-Hunterdon Airport, Whitehouse Station

The 35th Annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. Join the other 100 balloons ascending into the sky and experience “Love at First Flight!”  You can take a balloon ride (and go up, up and away) during any of our mass ascensions. Hot Air Balloon Ascension/Ride Times:  Friday, July 28th at 6:30 pm; Saturday, July 29th at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm; Sunday, July 30th at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm.  Hot Air Balloon rides are $225 per person in the morning and $250 per person in the evening.
