In anticipation of impending legislative action on Same-Sex Marriage in New Jersey, Hostage Calm has organized a rally in support of the cause.
The rally will take place on Saturday, February 25th at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken and will feature performances by H20 and Hostage Calm. The event is free and open to the public.

Missed any of the 9 movies nominated for Best Picture this year? Now you can see all of them over two Saturdays – February 18th and 25th. Or if you think you can handle it, you can watch all 9 in a row on February 25th. AMC started their Oscar Showcase marathon when there were only 5 nominees. If you load up on caffeine you can try for the 9 movie marathon but I am betting there will be a lot of snoring going on. The 2 separate marathons is probably your best bet.

Going to Milltown or West Orange for Ground Hog’s Day this year?

Big news from Milltown. Milltown Mel has a girlfriend! Unfortunately, the article from last year is behind a pay wall but the article is on a personal site from the author of the original article in the Courier News in Bridgewater. Last year, his girlfriend was still a little shy but we haven’t heard from her this year yet. Regardless, Mel’s ready to go.

Essex Ed is also getting ready for his appearance at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange tonight. He’s scheduled to peek out of his hole at 11:00 am tomorrow morning. Activities like crafts, coloring and more are included in the event that’s free with paid zoo admission.
Let’s hope at least one of them don’t see an end to this nice spring weather we’ve been having lately!
