A couple of years ago someone started an online rumor on Wikipedia that Sinbad was dead. It wasn’t true of course but the rumor got around. Sinbad was not the first and certainly won’t be the last. They seem to come up on a semi-regular basis.

Currently, drivers can only be tested for drugs or alcohol when there is evidence or high suspicion that a driver is operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
All I can say about this is that I CAN’T believe they weren’t doing it before. I am not saying that people should be randomly tested for sobriety, but in the case of an accident that results in death or a serious injury, I think it is warranted. Otherwise, how can we have a clear picture of the causes of these accidents. Plus, how can a police officer judge if someone is drunk or not when they don’t know what that individual’s personality is when they are sober vs. when they are drunk. Causes of accidents are very important to determine to help preventing them in the future.
