Week 15 – Jets, Giants & Eagles Preview

After their victories last week, both the Jets and the Giants now control their own destinies. If both teams finish the season in good shape, they can both make the playoffs. The only hiccup being that they have to play each other on Christmas Day so one of them will have at least one loss.

Week 13 – Jets, Giants & Eagles Preview

As far as the Jets and Giants are concerned, we are just watching them die a slow painful death. It’s a little sad when you have to watch the scoreboard and hope that other teams start losing to help your cause. The Jets and Giants have a glimmer of hope that they are hanging on to.

Week 12 – Jets, Giants & Eagles Preview

Jets vs. Bills Sunday 1:00 pm at the Meadowlands

Following a couple of losses, the Jets (5-5) go into tomorrow’s game against the other .500 team in their division, the Buffalo Bills. This game is like a playoff game because there is a good chance that the loser will not be going any further than the regular season this year. Even though the Jets are on a losing streak, they are the favorite to win.

Giants vs. Saints Monday 8:30 pm at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Last week, the Giants (6-4) blew a golden opportunity last week to keep ahead of Dallas and give themselves an excellent place in the standings. They lost to the Eagles, a team that everyone thought they would easily beat. This monday, they are the underdog to the New Orleans Saints.

Eagles vs. Patriots Sunday 4:15 at Lincoln Financial Field

As banged up as they are, the Eagles (4-6) somehow managed to beat the Giants last week, keeping their season alive by a thread. It just goes to show that on any given sunday anybody can beat anybody. Next up are the Patriots who are favored to win.

Week 3 – Eagles/Giants/Jets Quick Recap

Associated Press/Michael Perez

Giants 29, Eagles 16

I had this game all wrong.  I did not think the G-Men would roll into Philadelphia and beat the mighty Eagles in their home opener.  Very impressive.  And the hero of this game?  Paterson’s own Victor Cruz.  The Giants wide receiver had a breakout game with 110 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Good day for the New Jersey native.  Giants quarterback Eli Manning also had a good day with 4 touchdowns.

What is happening with Vick?  A week after suffering a concussion against Atlanta last week the Eagle quarterback left the game with was initial reported as a broken right hand.  Luckily for the Eagles the diagnosis was premature.  The hand is just bruised, not broken.  He might be able to start next week against the 49ers.  Vick complained earlier today that the refs aren’t throwing the flags that other quarterbacks get for late hits, hits to the helmet, etc…  He may be right.  He is not the biggest quarterback so he better take his offensive line out to a steak dinner to guarantee he is protected.

Are You Ready For Some Football? Quick Predictions for the Jets, Eagles and Giants

Jets (Predicted Finish 11-5)

The Jets made it to the championship last year before losing to the Steelers. This year I am not as confident they will return. I think Mark Sanchez is not quite there yet as an elite quarterback and I am not sure  Plaxico Burress is the answer to get him there. He does have two other strong receivers in Santonio Holmes and Derrick Mason.  With LT fading, Shonn Greene will be the main back.  We will see if he can handle the workload.   You know the defense will be strong led by the best cornerback in the league in Darrelle Revis. Will they stay healthy is the question.   The fans have been buying head coach Rex Ryan’s hype for three years now.  No doubt he makes football fun but if he doesn’t make the Super Bowl this year he might just be known as the coach who cried wolf.
