Blue Laws Get a (possible?) Challenge

Governor Christie seems to have something against the Blue Laws in Bergen County and Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney is fighting him all the way.

Christie hinted that he would like the Xanadu Project to be exempt from the Blue Laws in a March 19th article in The Record.

McNerney turned around and filed a public records request asking for documentation on the opinion that led the Governor to believe he had the right to that exemption.

The response from the Governor’s office, according to an article in The Record today, was that there were “no records responsive to [McNerney’s] request.”  (see May 6th article here)

Will Bergen County open up its famed mall on Sunday?  Can we really go to Paramus Ikea ANY day we want?

Will Governor Christie’s Nuclear Options Budget really change New Jersey as we know it?
