We have been attending the NJCS concerts for a few years now and we think that last Saturday’s concert was the best one yet.
They always put a really great Christmas concert on but this spring’s concert was beautiful and filled with special music and guests.
The concert was in the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood and the music included Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele by Johannes Brahms,
Hymn to the Creator of Light by John Rutter, Requiem in d, Op. 48 by Gabriel Fauré and a World Premiere of Requiem, Op. 21 by Joakim Seidevall
The Houston Children’s Chorus joined the NJCS for the evening and were wonderful.
Next year’s concerts should be just as exciting. The first one of the season is songs from several classic musicals and is bound to be fun. Stay tuned for updates from us as the concerts are announced.
