Pequannock’s Trouble with Bamboo

NorthJersey.com recently reported that Pequannock is in danger of being overrun by bamboo.

Apparently, people are calling the town and complaining about the infestation because neighbors are planting decorative bamboo in front and back yards.  The problem is that it grows very fast and spreads wildly.  Some particularly invasive varieties even grow through concrete and pavement.
