New Jersey Monthly has compiled a list of the best places to live for 2010. It rates New Jersey’s 566 municipalities based on 8 factors: population growth, home values, property taxes, land development, employment, crime rate, school performance, and proximity to services. They apparently have data to back up their ratings, but I don’t know how a town goes from #396 to #14 in two years. That is what Peapack-Gladstone Borough did. My town, Little Falls, came in at #387 which is totally baffling. I thought that we would be much higher. I think lack of hospitals and open spaces did us in. So take a look at the list, find your town, and let the outrage begin!
