Visual Acoustics Screening November 12 13 14 Asbury Park
The ShowRoom, Asbury Park’s independent cinema and multi-purpose venue, will screen the award-winning documentary “Visual Acoustics” from November 12 through November 15. In addition, The ShowRoom will host a post-film discussion on Saturday, November 14 at 4:30 p.m. with Arpad Baksa of the internationally renowned architecture firm Arpad Baksa Architect, P.C.
The ShowRoom’s popular screening and post-discussion format will invite Baksa to talk about the delicate relationship between architecture and photography with The ShowRoom’s audience. With more than 25 years experience in designing new buildings, residential condominiums, institutional designs and historic restorations not only in the United States, but internationally as well, Baksa’s professional insights will be a fitting complement to the award-winning film.
“Visual Acoustics” celebrates the life and work of the late Julius Shulman, a world-renowned photographer who stunningly captured the work of architectural legends such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner and Frank Gehry. The film highlights the legacy Shulman left behind after passing away in July of 2009 at the age of 99.

Strand Ventures, Inc Presents
The Lion, the Witch & Wardrobe
Theatreworks USA’s enchanting musical is based on C.S. Lewis’ adventure story about four children of war-torn England, who accidentally enter the land of Narnia by climbing through a magic wardrobe. This strange and wondrous place is ruled by the cold-hearted White Witch, who makes the winter last year round. Although they seem unlikely saviors, the children fulfill an ancient prophesy by defeating the witch, thus restoring sunshine and peace to the spell-bound Narnia and retuning the great Lion King Aslan to his throne.
