25 Burgers, Bound Brook – Review

Felt like taking a bit of a drive on Friday night and ended up at 25 Burgers on Route 28 in Bound Brook. Nice find!

It looks like a converted Dairy Queen or something but there was still plenty of seating. Beatles dominated the 60’s music playing. It seemed like at least five Beatles songs for every one other song that was played. Kind of weird. We got a pager to wait for our food which is much nicer than trying to listen for your name or a number being called out.

First thing we tried was the Chili Chili Burger which was HUGE and piled with chili, crispy onion strings and spicy sauce. It was very good but a little sloppy. A knife and fork was needed to not make a real mess.

Next up was the Pulled Pork sandwich which was really moist pork, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese. Not too much sauce so it wasn’t extremely messy. Very good sandwich!

We also shared an order of sweet potato fries that were crispy outside and soft and sweet inside and we each had a chocolate milkshake.

Surprisingly, despite excellent sandwiches and fries, the shakes were the highlight of the meal. The chocolate sauce was visible on the sides of the cup so you could tell it was individually made. The shake was thick at first but quickly softened into a very drinkable consistency. Excellent, excellent addition to a burger and fry meal.

After perusing their website, we see that there’s also a Linden restaurant and soon there will be Westfield and West Deptford restaurants, too.

We can’t wait to get our friends over to Bound Brook or Linden so they can all try these excellent burgers!
