An exhibition match was held Monday night between Rep. Rush Holt (D-12th Dist. NJ), Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and IBM’s Watson supercomputer. Other rounds pitted Watson against Reps. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), Jared Polis (D-Colo.) and Nan Hayworth (R-N.Y.).

Rep. Holt probably wasn’t chosen at random for this matchup.  He’s a former five-time Jeopardy champion from before his congressional career.  Oh yeah, AND he’s a nuclear physicist!

The representative’s offices in Pennington must be humming tonight.

Watson has beaten every other human he’s come up against.  We’re lucky to have such a smart guy looking out for us in Washington and beating computers!

Full coverage is on Holt’s website.
