May is many things. The heart of spring. My wife’s birthday (can’t forget that). And, holidays Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day which lead to the unofficial kickoff of summer, Memorial Day.
What a lot of people don’t realize and what may be the most important thing of all… it’s also National Burger Month!
From the simple diner burger to the fancier creations concocted by the new boutique-style burger joints. Burgers are in. They are the new cupcake. People like their burgers from plain old patty and bun to piled high with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and beyond. Fried egg, avocado, pineapple slices—almost anything tastes good on a bun with a slab of chopped meat. Even the burger itself can be changed up. Tuna, ostrich, buffalo, vegetarian. There is a burger for everyone. Are you hungry yet?
