Think of it as pay-back for all those jokes about New Jersey.
The off-peak E-ZPass discounts we enjoy on the Turnpike will be taken away from out-of-state drivers on July 1st. Off-peak hours are all day Saturday and Sunday and Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:01 a.m. – 4:29 p.m. and 6:31 p.m. – 6:59 a.m.
According to the article from NorthJersey.com below, New York and Delaware are among the states that already do the same thing. So, we’re not alone in charging out-of-state drivers more for the privilege of driving through our fair state.
Don’t like it, non-NJ drivers?? Enjoy Pennsylvania and upstate New York and go around!
