Free Movie Series At Branch Brook Park To Begin July 12th 2011 With Megamind

On Tuesday, July 12th, “Movies Under the Stars,” a free month-long movie series held annually at Branch Brook Park, will open with the computer-animated, super anti-hero filmMegamind, featuring the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, and Jonah Hill.

“Movies Under the Stars” will be held every Tuesday through August 2nd. ET: The Extra-Terrestrialwill be shown on July 19th, Elf (Christmas in July!) on July 26th, and Step Up 3 on August 2nd. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Picnicking and festivities will begin at 7:30 PM. Movies will begin at sundown.

This is a great idea, following in the footsteps of the movies shown in Central Park.
