When we get together for an official editorial meeting emotions can sometimes run high and arguments can get heated. But there is one thing we agree on. Chicken Delight makes a hell of a fried bird. In fact we always have it before we get down to business.
The breading is lightly applied, well seasoned and crispy. The meat inside remains juicy and salty after frying. You know it’s good chicken when you find yourself picking the little pieces of breading and chicken that fall on the plate.
Now don’t be put off by the ’70s decor and signage that all the stores in the chain seem to have. It’s like taking a time machine back to wonderful and delicious place.
We go to the ones in Hillsdale and North Bergen but there are a few more around. Check them out if you have the chance.
