Passaic River at Flood Level and Rising Fast – September 8 2011

Thinking about going to Willowbrook Mall in the next couple of days? Don’t bet on it. The heavy rain of the last few days has driven the Passaic and Pompton Rivers back up to flood level. Parts of Wayne, Little Falls, Woodland Park, Pine Brook, Paterson and other low-lying areas are flooding again. Expect evacuations in those areas and roads to be closed again as some of these areas may hit record flood levels by Friday. If you need to travel in these areas, call places ahead of time to make sure they are open and/or accessible.

These pictures were taken around 12:00 P.M. today.
