Hey Kids! The Police have Postponed Halloween in New Jersey Until Friday November 4th

We just got a call from the Little Falls NJ Police Department saying “This is the Little Falls Police with an urgent message to all parents. We strongly urge you to postpone letting your children go out Trick or Treating until Friday November 4th”.

I guess their reasoning is that it is unsafe as a result of all of the fallen trees and some loose wires. On top of that, a lot of people are still without power and will be for days.

I am not sure if they are putting Halloween off until Friday because that is how long it will take to remove the trees and get power back or that it is a logistically friendly night since it leads into the weekend.

I know that Nutley residents have received this call as well. I’m not sure how many towns will do this so watch for telephone calls or ask your neighbors or Police Department about it.

Now procrastinators have more time to get a costume… or just more time to procrastinate.
