Fan of The Boss can soon visit Monmouth University to see an archive of Springsteen’s collection of rock music memorabilia. Nearly 15,000 documents from 44 countries are included in the collection from a career that began in the late 1960s. Books, concert programs, magazine and newspaper articles and other printed memorabilia will begin their stay at the West Long Branch campus on November 1.

The collection used to be at the Asbury Park Public Library but was growing too large for that facility.  The Editor and Publisher of Backstreets, who is also the President of the Friends of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection, Christopher Phillips, began looking for a new place for the documents four years ago when it became clear that they needed better public access and room to expand.

Viewing of the documents at Monmouth U. will be available by appointment.
