As a result of the widespread destruction and power outages in New Jersey, many towns gave their residents a alternate date for Halloween of November 4th. However, nothing was stopping people from going out on Halloween if they wanted to, especially if the area was not that affected by the snow-storm.
These 2 bold Star Wars fans were the only Trick-or-Treaters that we got at my house yesterday.
As far as I’m concerned, the smart candy hunters will go out on both October 31st and November 4th.
If I was a kid, I would look at it this way. No one can stop you from going out on the actual date of Halloween and people should be prepared with candy. Like we were ready and gave candy to the people who came to our house yesterday.
But the towns have now imposed the new date of November 4th on everyone so people are obligated to be prepared for that day as well. So I would go out on that day as well to double my candy intake. This is the first time in history that I can remember this happening and it should be taken advantage of.
