After losing on Thursday to the Broncos, the Jets (5-5)have no game this weekend. They couldn’t get it the job done, blowing it with 58 seconds left.  The real issue is Mark Sanchez, who isn’t panning out the way they thought he would. If the jets don’t become a winning team by next year Sanchez will probably get the boot.

Giants vs. Eagles Sunday at 8:20 p.m. at the Meadowlands

Last week, the Giants (6-3) lost to San Francisco by 7 points. The Giants had the ball and were in the red zone but they couldn’t score. The red zone is an area where their offense seems to struggle. This Sunday they will probably beat the Eagles but it won’t be easy. It also won’t mean much until they start beating teams with winning records like the Green Bay Packers and they need another victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles (3-6) are like the football version of the Miami Heat. On paper it looks like a really good team with some great free agents, but like the Miami Heat it isn’t translating into real world success. Michael Vick is not the quarterback they thought he was even though he has gotten better .He is not the pocket passer the Eagles need and he relies too much on his running ability. The Giants will probably put the final nail in their coffin for this season. Eagles fans should be thinking about next season around now.
