As of the evening of December 31, 2011, these are the posts that got the most hits this year;

1. Passaic River Expected To Crest Tuesday

It’s no surprise that our most read post was about flooding considering how many people were affected by it.

2. Jersey Shore – Nude Beach – Gunnison – National Nude Recreation Week – July 4-10 2011

Everyone wants to know where naked people are. Our article on New Jersey’s nude beach was the second most viewed post of the year.

3. Subjective Map of New Jersey : Accurate, Funny or Offensive

Everyone had an opinion about this viral map. Most people liked it.  Shows our residents have a sense of humor about themselves.

4. Holy Newark Batman

Batman coming to New Jersey was big news.  Let’s hope Brick City gets more movie love in 2012.

5. Nuclear Reactors in New Jersey

After the nuclear disaster in Japan everyone wanted to know where the closest nuclear power plants were.

6. Hey Kids! The Police have Postponed Halloween in New Jersey Until Friday November 4th

After the surprisingly severe October snow storm where trees had fallen left and right leaving downed power lines and thousands of people without power, towns attempted to salvage Halloween for people who would not otherwise be able to celebrate it by postponing it 5 days.  Of course many kids got to double dip.  Dentists all over New Jersey were thrilled.

Our weekly list of things to do got the most views in the summer when there are plenty of outdoor and shore events going on.

Chiller Theatre is New Jersey’s largest convention of its kind and the Halloween costume contest brings out some of the most elaborate, unique and well done costumes you will see anywhere.

10. MTV’s Good Vibes – Interviews with the Creators and Cast & New York Comic Con Panel Video

The New York Comic Con was a big event and one of the highlights was the cast of the new animated show ‘Good Vibes’. It was a lot of fun interviewing Adam Brody, Josh Gad and Olivia Thirlby among others. Getting some insight into the show from the point of view of the creators and cast was great and our readers thought so as well.

11. Happy Birthday, New Jersey Native Ashley Tisdale

Here’s one more for good measure. Coming in at number 11 is our celebrity birthday/biography category. Ashley Tisdale was the most popular celebrity to get the spotlight.
