Amy’s Omelette House, Long Branch – Review

It’s easy to miss Amy’s Omelette House if you’re driving along Ocean Boulevard in Long Branch.  It’s tucked away in a shopping plaza and not easy to see from the road.  What you can’t miss at Amy’s Omelette House is the menu.

They’ve got 220 omelettes and that’s only two pages of the menu!  They also have two more pages of breakfast, four pages of lunch and dinner and a kids menu.

We tried two of the 220 omelettes the morning we went.

First up was Number 137, the Italian Hot Dog.  Hot dogs, potato, green peppers and onions made this an excellent breakfast.  The eggs were really fresh tasting and the rest of the fillings were nicely balanced with the eggs.

Second, we ordered Number 163, Tijuana Jack. Chorizo, jalapenos, onions and Jack cheese made this one spicy omelette! Instead of the potato side, we ordered this one with oatmeal.

Did we mention the pancakes? Amy’s pancakes are contenders for Best in Jersey.  Light and fluffy, these flapjacks were the perfect side dish to one of the hearty omelettes.

If you’re in the northern Shore area and need some breakfast, lunch or even dinner, check out Amy’s Omelette House in Long Branch.  They also have two Philly suburb locations in Cherry Hill and Burlington. Take your time going through the menu, though, because you’ll have a hard time choosing your meal!
