A report called The County Health Rankings was released in early April which ranks the average health of residents in every county in all 50 of the United States. The report is produced through a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. They recently sent out their 2012 data and the top three healthiest counties in New Jersey were (1) Hunterdon, (2) Morris and (3) Somerset.  Good job counties!

The bottom three counties were (21) Cumberland, (20) Salem and (19) Essex.  Get to work counties!

Factors like premature death rate, low infant birthweights, adult smoking and obesity rates, number of uninsured residents and access to healthy foods were used to rank all the counties within each of the United States.
