He’s been hard at work making Newark a nicer place to live and work and now it turns out he might be an actual superhero!

Thursday night after returning from a News 12 New Jersey interview, Booker found the apartment house next door on fire. His security detail had arrived moments before and gotten several people out already but Booker knew that one of his neighbors was still unaccounted for and after wrestling himself from security trying to hold him back he ran in to save her.  After carrying her out of the apartment, he and his neighbor both had to be taken to the hospital for minor burns and smoke inhalation.  Don’t worry, though, he’s tweeted to let everyone know that he’ll be fine!
