Thanks to all who gave their lives for our freedoms.

Clifton’s Avenue of Flags is displayed five times a year and Memorial Day is the first event of the year. The Athenia Veterans Post is in charge of the flags and they are dedicated to Clifton residents who have served in the Armed Forces.  Each flag has been purchased by a person or family wanting to honor a loved one.  Each flag is marked with the honorees’ name and branch of service. There are over 1350 flags in all and they are spread all over the Municipal Park grounds.
