Glen Rock Inn, Glen Rock – Review

When we asked for burger recommendations last year for National Burger Month, Glen Rock Inn was mentioned but we never made it. So, it was the natural place to start off this year’s Burger Month.  And, as usual, our readers were spot on!  Those were really great burgers!  Cooked perfectly, nicely topped and came with a great bun:  that’s the winning combination.

We tried two burgers from the Build Your Own Burger menu.  The regular cheeseburger pictured above and one with Canadian bacon and American cheese.  The Canadian bacon added a mixed grill kind of flavor mix but wasn’t as salty as the usual Taylor Ham that comes with the mixed grill burger.  A very special note to check the picture below:  we ordered medium rare and GOT medium rare.  That’s so unusual that we felt we should point it out specifically.  Nice job, Glen Rock Inn!

Before the burgers arrived, we tried the calamari appetizer which tasted fresh and wasn’t chewy.  The hot marinara was just that:  nice and hot.  It also came with two bruschetta bites, too.  Nice touch!

Finally, we tried a bowl of chili which came with grilled onions and cheddar cheese toppings. This was not just some chili.  It tasted like fresh veggies and nice spicy ground beef.  It’s worth getting even if you’re thinking burgers when you go in.

Check out all the pictures from our visit to the Glen Rock Inn and keep those Burger Month recommendations coming!

Have you tried 25 Burgers yet? They are amazing. Several locations, but I am partial to the Bound Brook location, which I believe was the original.

We LOVE 25 Burgers and have been to the Bound Brook locations a few times. Any idea if the other locations have different menus, or are they all the same?
