If you live or work in the Weehawken area, you’ve noticed all the construction going on at the waterfront. What you may not have known is that most of that construction is for a Formula One racetrack that is set to open for a three-day race event called Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial in June, 2013.
This Monday, World Champion driver Sebastian Vettel took a test drive on the track. We weren’t able to get into the media event but our fearless photographer, Jeff Wickliffe, was able to snap this shot of one of the Formula One cars on display at the Port Imperial ferry terminal before the test drive started.
