High Point Division, Round Two – Game One: Taylor Ham squeaked out a win against Pork Roll in the first round and will now take on the Sausage, Pepper and Onion Sandwich after it beat out Cheesesteaks in Round One. Let the battle of New Jersey favorite meats begin!
High Point Division, Round Two – Game Two: The first round games for these two competitors were both landslides. Jersey Tomatoes crushed the Jersey Blueberries and Flying Fish Brewery emerged victorious over Cricket Hill. This Round Two contest comes down to whether beer lovers will out vote the veggie lovers.
Cape May Division, Round Two – Game One: Seaside Heights narrowly beat out The Wildwoods in Round One. They now take on the Appalachian Trail which won against the Coastal Heritage Trail. Do you prefer to lay out in the warm NJ sun or hike New Jersey’s beautiful mountain passages?
Cape May Division, Round Two – Game Two: “Watch the Tram Car Please” beat out the more leisurely and less catch-phrasey Sky Ride in Round One. PNC Arts Center rocked the NJPAC for their berth into the second round. Will voters ride the Tram Car in this round or choose to ride the REO Speedwagon in Holmdel?
Asbury Park Division, Round Two – Game One: The Boss defeated JBJ in Round One in the contest between NJ rock icons. Meryl Streep easily defeated Anne Hathaway in our Oscar-winning Leading Ladies category. Will Meryl’s Oscar gold beat out Bruce’s platinum records?
Asbury Park Division, Round Two – Game Two: Neptune boys Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito duked it out in Round One and Jack won easily. Maybe Danny has been spending too much time being “Sunny in Philadelphia” for NJ voters? In a surprise upset, Essex County songstresses Queen Latifah and Whitney Houston battled in the first round with Queen Latifah coming out with the win at the end. Round two should be quite a poker match with The Joker versus The Queen.
Lambertville Division, Round Two – Game One: In another Round One landslide, the Garden State Parkway handily beat the NJ Turnpike. That wasn’t a tough one to predict with one road leading to vacation and the other leading to mainly businesses. EZPass also easily beat its first round competitor, the cash toll booth. Now, which one will Round Two voters like best, the prettier route or the faster and easier method of payment?
Lambertville Division, Round Two -Game Two: Wawa and Quick Chek were neck and neck for quite a while in Round One until Wawa pulled away at the last minute. Giants Stadium, on the other hand, was always in the lead on Jets Stadium. The Meadowlands definitely has a favorite team! Which of these heavy hitters will win Round Two? Wawa with a giant cup of delicious coffee or a stadium with a Giant team?
