There’s typical New Jersey pizza and then there’s Millie’s Meatball Parmesan Pie. It’s got a very light and puffy crust and comes topped with fresh peeled tomatoes, sautéed with garlic and our special blend of seasonings, homemade mozzarella, diced meatballs, fresh basil and grated pecorino romano. That’s a filling pizza!
Millie’s Old World Meatballs and Pizza in Morristown has two types of pizza. The meatball pizza above is one of their coal-fired pizzas with that thicker puffier crust. There are nine types of coal-fired pizzas as well as a create your own option.
Their Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas have a lighter thinner crust and there are eighteen topping combinations. Many of their topping combinations are amazing. Pistachio Pesto Pie with fresh pistachio pesto, Italian sausage, homemade mozzarella, fresh basil and parmigiano reggiano. White Truffle and Salami with white truffle cream, homemade mozzarella, salami and parmigiano reggiano. Capicola Ham Pie with fresh tomato sauce, homemade mozzarella, artichokes, mushrooms, capicola ham, fresh basil and parmigiano reggiano.
Hungry yet? Wait ’til you try their meatballs!
We tried the meatballs in marinara sauce and more meatballs in vodka parmesan sauce. Both meatball dishes came with the same large meatballs. They were moist and flavorful made with sirloin beef and imported cheeses. The marinara was very herbaceous and tasted just like fresh tomatoes with very little fuss. The vodka parmesan sauce was light and creamy that coated the meatballs really nicely. Those were my favorite.
We can’t wait to go back and try more pizzas and meatballs! If you find yourself in Morristown, we highly recommend trying their menu out, too.
