The 21st Annual Asbury Music Awards will be held this Thursday at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. The event, presented by The Saint and the Asbury Music Company, was originally started to recognize the local acts of the Asbury Park music scene but has evolved over the years to represent and honor original musical and creative talent throughout the entire state of New Jersey.
Over 25 awards will be presented in categories such as Top Indie Rock Band, Top Heavy Rock Act, Top Male and Female Vocalist and many more. In addition there are awards for media, photographers, sound engineer and various other categories.
There will also be plenty of live music from New Jersey on display by artists such as Lemon Juice, The Black Jesuses, Empire Escorts and Lower The Veil. It is guaranteed to be a gathering of the top creative people making and covering music in the Garden State.
