Update:  Everything HomeMade has closed.

Everything HomeMade is an adorable cafe nestled in the middle of Lafayette Village. It’s a great place to rest and eat while you’re shopping in the Village.  They are open from 11 to 4 Wednesday through Sunday and the lunch menu has plenty of light options which is good because you’ll definitely want to save room for their fantastic coffee and desserts!

We had mostly light options for lunch since we had perused the dessert options before we sat down. We all ordered from the Specials menu.

This salad had nice crisp veggies with candied walnuts, feta cheese and some chopped Granny Smith apple which added a nice tang to what could have been an overly sweet salad.

This tuna salad in a tomato cup over lettuce was delicious, too!  The tuna wasn’t swimming in mayo and all the veggies were bright and crispy.  What a great lunch.

Couldn’t help but order the BLT.  We can’t pass up delicious bacon!  Lightly toasted bread, tangy tomato slices and fresh lettuce.  Perfect!  We liked that it wasn’t packed with bacon, too.  It made us slightly less guilty for eating it.

Now, onto the desserts!  You saw the cupcake above already.  Key lime with a cream cheese icing.  The sugar crystals around the edge gave every bite a nice sugary crunch and the key lime flavoring was tart but not overpowering.  Now this is a cupcake I could eat again and again!

We also tried one of their scones.  We chose raisin but there were several other classic options like chocolate chip and blueberry the day we were there. The scone was perfect with their amazing coffee.  Dry and light, just waiting for you to dip it in a hot beverage!

Finally, we had a blueberry crumble which was out of this world.

Nice warm crumble with oozing blueberries in the middle and a delicious flaky crust holding it together.  Wow, their desserts are worth the trip to Sussex County alone!

Everything HomeMade has recently started offering a nice selection of gluten free lunches and desserts which we didn’t get a chance to try but we’ll definitely be back soon to dig into more of their menu!

Visit them on Facebook where you can see more of their specials.
