Even before the start of the season, the Seattle Seahawks were a shoo-in to make it to the Super Bowl. Now that they’re here, I feel that it will be a close game with the Denver Broncos. In the end however, I think that Peyton Manning will find a way to win. He has had a career year and has exorcised his demons by beating Tom Brady and the Patriots. Plus the weather in Denver is unpredictable and tricky and being used to that should give them an advantage playing in this cold weather football game.
This NFL has embraced this cold weather Super Bowl set in East Rutherford, New Jersey even putting a snowflake in the official logo for the event as if to tempt fate and invite snow. I agree that snow would look nice but I’m not sure it’s the best thing for the game. Current forecasts call for fairly reasonable weather in the low 40s and high 30s but frankly anything can happen. The NFL isn’t committing to future Super Bowls in cold weather cities just yet. The hopes of those cities hinge on how this one turns out.
